Wrapping up Christmas in Bismarck

Bismarck, North Dakota – The window for last-minute shopping was getting smaller as Christmas approached and because of the snowstorm.
You’re in luck if you’re one of those persons who doesn’t have the time or just doesn’t want to do the wrapping.
At the Kirkwood Mall, the Optimist Club of Bismarck is raising money by gift-wrapping your purchases.
Customers can donate to the club while leaving their gifts at the booth.
You support a worthy organization in addition to having your present wrapped for you.
“People get to see who the Optimist Club is. We have several members volunteer throughout the gift wrap season and a lot of us bring our friends or coworkers with us to gift wrap as well, and this is our largest fundraiser and for all the funds that we raise from this, we’re putting back into the Bismarck-Mandan community,” said Christa Schwartzenberger, a volunteer gift wrapper.
Gate City Bank, the day’s Pay It Forward Donor, supplied all of the present wrappings on Tuesday.
While Kirkwood Mall is open, The Optimist Club will be wrapping presents through Saturday.
