Fargo placed 6th on America’s least stressed cities list

Fargo, North Dakota – Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, one in every four vital employees has been diagnosed with a mental health problem, according to WalletHub’s report on America’s Most and Least Stressed Cities in 2021.

WalletHub compared more than 180 cities across 41 important criteria to find where Americans deal best with stress. COVID-19 cases, average weekly work hours, divorce, and suicide rates are all part of the data set.

Fargo’s key category rankings are as follows: (1st=Most Stressed, 91st=Average, 182nd=Least Stressed):

  • 119th – Avg. Weekly Hours Worked
  • 52nd – Traffic Congestion
  • 131st – Poverty Rate
  • 167th – Divorce Rate
  • 138th – % of Adults in Fair/Poor Health
  • 37th – Job Security
  • 168th – % of Adults with Inadequate Sleep
  • 160th – Average Daily COVID-19 Cases in the Past Week per Capita
  • 100th – % of Residents Who Are Fully Vaccinated

South Burlington, Vermont, Fremont, California, Madison, Wisconsin, Nashua, New Hampshire, and Columbia, Maryland are the top five least stressed cities, according to Wallethub.

Cleveland, Detroit, New Orleans, Baltimore, and Newark, New Jersey are the top five most stressed cities.
