Wahpeton man runs over a cow on US Highway 2 and kills it

Wahpeton, North Dakota – On Wednesday, a 60-year-old Wahpeton man was traveling on US Highway 2 when he struck and killed a cow.
The man struck a cow in the road while driving east on US Highway 2 at 7:30 p.m., according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, causing his vehicle to crash into a ditch.
Both the driver and the passenger—a 59-year-old Wahpeton woman—were transferred to CHI-Saint Alexius Hospital in Devils Lake for treatment of their injuries.
Following the collision, the cow came to rest in the median and was killed.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol is still looking into the crash.
