Victim in fatal motorcycle accident identified

Fargo, North Dakota – On Monday, the driver of a motorcycle that was involved in a fatal accident over the weekend on County Road 16 southwest of Horace was identified as a man from Fargo.
According to the State Patrol, Charles Bekkerus, 75 years old, died when his three-wheeled motorcycle veered off the roadway, went into the ditch, and then drove into a field of sunflowers on Sunday afternoon.
Bekkerus succumbed to his injuries at Essentia Health in Fargo.
