To establish a “New Health System” in the area, Sanford and Fairview are attempting to unite

Fargo, North Dakota – Two significant Midwestern hospital institutions have informed WDAY Radio of their desire to unite.
According to the press release, Sanford Health and Fairview Health Services have both signed a non-binding agreement that declares their intention to merge and “form a new healthcare system.”
According to the statement, the combination of Sanford’s rural expertise and Fairview’s urban ones would be beneficial in providing high-quality services to both groups.
“Our organizations are united by a shared commitment to advance the health and well-being of our communities,” said Sanford Health President and CEO Bill Gassen. “As a combined system, we can do more to expand access to complex and highly specialized care, utilize innovative technology and provide a broader range of virtual services, unlock greater research capabilities and transform the care delivery experience to ensure every patient receives the best care no matter where they live.”
According to the companies, the merged systems will assist patients in the upper Midwest in a variety of ways, such as by enhancing patient satisfaction, increasing access to affordable care, and improving care quality and outcomes.
