Three 18-year-olds hurt in a rollover accident in Rolette County

Bismarck, North Dakota – A rollover accident in Rolette County has left three 18-year-old guys with critical injuries.
A Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was going southbound on BIA RD 7 when, according to a news statement from the North Dakota Highway Patrol, it failed to negotiate a right curve at around 3:41 a.m. The car then veered off the road to the east, overcorrected, crossed both lanes and rolled into the west ditch before revolving counterclockwise on the road.
Two 18-year-old male passengers, one from Belcourt and the other from Devils Lake, were ejected after the incident and discovered unconscious on the ground close to the pickup. The third passenger, another 18-year-old boy from Devils Lake, was discovered seated and alert outside the pickup. An 18-year-old Belcourt man who was the car’s driver was seen eluding the police.
The three Chevy Silverado passengers all suffered critical injuries in the collision and were sent to hospitals for treatment. Charges against the car’s driver are still pending, and it is unknown what his current situation is.
The incident is still being investigated.
