Fargo School Board voted in favor of mask requirements

Fargo, North Dakota – The Fargo School Board voted 7-2 in favor of the mask requirements that are already in place in all district facilities.
After a school board member argued for an end to the mandate, the board opted to delay a decision on the question until Tuesday.
The board decided against a proposal presented on September 18 to possibly recommend rather than enforce the use of masks.
Due to recent data on growing hospitalizations in the area, the majority of board members showed their disagreement to making this adjustment during Tuesday’s virtual meeting.
In all district facilities, students and staff must continue to wear a face mask.
