Fargo, North Dakota – After the ice storm on Christmas Day, Cass County Electric is still working to get electricity back to all of its customers.

They had just around 1,000 members without power as of Monday morning.

Most of them are located in the Valley City service region, where there are still over 500 customers without electricity and an equal number of damaged poles.

Over a hundred lineworkers, contractors, and other workers are employed by Cass County Electric to restore power.

It is estimated that over 800 damaged poles remain and will require replacement.

The CCEC Line Crews and Mutual Aid Workers put in long hours every day, working from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
