Workers respond to a Sawyer building fire

Sawyer, North Dakota – The Ward County Sheriff’s Office said that on Saturday, personnel from many departments responded to a fire at a Sawyer residence.

According to the Sawyer Sheriff’s Office, the fire broke out in a garage at a house in the 100 block of SE 2nd Street late on Saturday afternoon.

The Sheriff’s Office said that no one was harmed in the fire.

Sawyer and Velva fire departments as well as the Otter Tail Power Company and Sheriff’s Office responded.

Although most of the fire was extinguished, firefighters were still present as of 8 p.m. on Saturday.
