Southwest Minot residence damaged by fire

Minot, North Dakota – On Sunday afternoon, several fire departments responded to a residence that was on fire in the southwest part of Minot.
The authorities were notified shortly after 1:30 pm that there was a fire in the 900 block of 1st Avenue SW, and they arrived on the site within minutes of receiving the report.
The fire is suspected to have originated in the backyard, most likely on the deck, and then spread to the house, according to the police who are currently on the site.
A witness who was there at the site informed Your News Leader that there were five people inside the residence at the time of the incident, including three adults and two children, all of whom managed to escape safely.
