Residents warned by authorities of scammer impersonating West Fargo Lieutenant

West Fargo, North Dakota – A scam caller has been calling people using the phone number (701) 557-7371, according to the West Fargo Police Department.
The scam caller claims to be West Fargo Police Lieutenant David Gilmore. He tells people they missed court appearance and the only option for them to resolve the matter is to leave their residences immediately and go to the West Fargo Police Department.
The addresses of contacted residents are also known to the scammer.
The West Fargo Police Department will never contact a person and ask them to leave their home. Please notify Red River Valley Dispatch at (701) 451-7660 if a resident receives a similar call.
