Pedestrian semi-crash near Valley City kills a man from Bismarck

Barnes County, North Dakota – Following an early Friday morning collision on I-94 in Barnes County, a 35-year-old man from Bismarck died.
According to the Highway Patrol, Chad Heller, 46, of West Fargo, was operating a 2019 Freightliner when it struck Cameron Davis Red Bird, 35, who was walking westbound in the center of the right lane of I-94 around milepost 299, five miles east of Valley City.
The lorry slowed down and came to a stop on the westbound shoulder.
On-site medical personnel declared Red Bird dead.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol is still looking into what happened.
