One of three school districts receiving electric school buses is Glen Ullin

Bismarck, North Dakota – Thanks to funding from the Environmental Protection Agency, the Glen Ullin School District in Morton County will shortly increase the number of electric school buses in its fleet.
The $395k award will help with the purchase of the bus and any other equipment or supplies needed for the vehicle.
The funds are a component of the EPA’s “Clean School Bus Program,” which aims to improve air quality, save money for school districts, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
According to the EPA, young people’s asthma and other health problems are related to diesel air pollution. Diesel fuel is used by most school buses.
The following North Dakota school districts will receive funds for electric school buses:
– Enderlin: $1,580,000 for four electric buses
– Mapleton: $395,000 for one electric bus
