Bismarck, North Dakota – According to the city of Bismarck, the owner of Charras and Tequila, David Mendoza, purchased the MacKenzie River building on October 26 and will be constructing a new restaurant there called Sazon. The property had been empty since September 7.

According to Assistant City Administrator Jason Tomanek, Mendoza submitted an application for a liquor license at the former MacKenzie River building on November 1. The application will be considered at the City Commission meeting on December 13th.

For the area at 4510 Skyline Crossings, Tomanek claimed Mendoza submitted an F1 liquor license application.

On December 27, a public hearing will be held to examine the submission.

The city could proceed with the potential issuance of such a license.
