North Dakota Senator John Hoeven is hoping for Democratic support for a debt relief proposal

Fargo, North Dakota – Senator John Hoeven was questioned if some Democrats could now be persuaded to support current Republican agendas in Washington.
“Well I sure hope so. Obviously, we’ve got the House by a narrow margin.”
“They’re working on the debt ceiling issue right now and hopefully getting some reforms to start to get on top of this debt and deficit but of course with the majority democrats in the Senate and in the White House that’s who we need to change,” said Hoeven.
Hoeven said he hopes Congress can “get back to the fundamentals” that made the United States great, such as military, spending management, and border security.
