Members of Capital Electric Cooperative receive messages requesting energy conservation

Bismarck, North Dakota – Customers of Capital Electric Cooperative posted on social media about power saving after getting an email last night.
The email said: ‘…the demand for electricity is forecasted to exceed the limits of resources available…,’ known as a Level 2 energy alert.
An unrelated power outage occurred this morning in Lincoln and Menoken, but it was promptly fixed, according to a company representative.
Members would receive additional messages if the power had to be switched off, which is known as a Level 3 alert, the representative added.
