Mapleton School District receives grant for Electric Bus

Mapleton, North Dakota – One of four school districts in North Dakota to get a grant for an electric bus is the Mapleton School District.
As part of the nation’s first round of funding awarded to rural and low-income districts, Mapleton recently earned close to $400,000 for the purchase of the bus.
According to the Biden administration, the incentives, which total $1 billion, are part of an initiative to remove diesel buses from the road and improve air quality.
The district has not yet established a timetable for buying the vehicle.
