Man accused of sexual assault pleaded not guilty

Bismarck, North Dakota – A man from Bismarck has pleaded not guilty to sexually assaulting a little child eight years ago.
Paxton Heywood, according to the Bismarck Tribune, submitted the pleas from jail on Tuesday.
Prosecutors say he sexually assaulted a girl so many times in 2013 that they can’t keep track.
The case is “highly speculative,” according to Heywood’s lawyer, because it is based on the memory of a kid who was very young at the time of the alleged attacks.
In a second case, a jury found Heywood guilty of sexually abusing a young girl in May.
He was given a ten-year prison sentence.
