Grand opening of the Mandan Tennis Center

Mandan, North Dakota – More than 100 people showed up to support the opening of a brand-new indoor tennis facility in spite of the extreme weather.
This is the first indoor tennis facility in Mandan.
The building is a dome of 41,600 square feet. It has 10 indoor pickleball courts and six indoor tennis courts.
According to officials, both young and old residents of the community will benefit from the facility.
“Because a lot of times we think of recreation and we think of sports the young and healthy can play and really this is something you can play forever,” said Tracy Porter, chief volunteer. “And I have seen it on other courts in Bismarck/Mandan where I’ve seen grandparents out playing with grandchildren.”
At 9 a.m., the Mandan Tennis Center formally opens.
