FBI investigates deadly shooting on Spirit Lake Reservation, man shot by BIA officer

FORT TOTTEN, ND – The FBI is investigating a deadly police-involved shooting on the Spirit Lake Reservation south of Fort Totten. It happened Wed. afternoon.
A man was shot by a BIA Police officer following a pursuit and struggle after the car was stopped. Three other people in the man’s car were not hurt.
The man who died was 44-year-old David Suarez.
