Fargo teenager hurt in collision close to Kindred

Kinder, North Dakota – Tuesday night in Richland County, a semi towing an empty trailer was rear-ended by a pickup truck, inflicting injuries on one individual. At 7:53 p.m., it occurred on Highway 46, six miles east of Kindred.
According to the State Patrol, Fargo resident Evan Fraedrich, 19, rear-ended the semi after it had slowed down to make a turn.
Fraedrich was able to escape before his pickup caught fire. His injuries were severe but not life-threatening when he was brought to the hospital. Allen D. Nelson, 64, of Fargo, the driver of the semi, was unharmed.
Troopers are still looking into the collision in order to file charges. It was raining heavily when the crash occurred.
While firefighters battled to put out the fire, Highway 46 was closed for approximately an hour.
