Fargo City Commissioner Kolpack seeks return on diversity, equity, and inclusion investment

Fargo, North Dakota – Denise Kolpack, a commissioner for the city of Fargo, says she wants to make sure that the city is getting a return on its investments in inclusion, equity, and diversity.
“When you look at the makeup of our staff, we have a ways to go to reflect the diversity of our community. Having said that there is a robust practice in hiring where it’s based on the qualifications of the candidate coming in,” said Kolpack.
Kolpack acknowledged displeasure during her appearance on the Flag’s “What’s on Your Mind” program when she couldn’t get Dr. Terry Hogan, the city’s DEI Director, to respond to her inquiries about performance.
Hogan recently stated that his office needed more staff members.
