Children’s area of the Minot Public Library has a grand reopening

Minot, North Dakota – The Minot Public Library’s children’s library reopened with a huge celebration on Saturday following several months of hiatus due to renovations.

Visitors came to witness the new play area, reading nooks among the shelves, and the stage that brought the forest motif to life.

Randi Monley, a children’s librarian who spearheaded the concept four years ago, stated that the staff aimed to give the customers—some of whom visit many times a week—their best effort.

She mentioned that they made adjustments beyond what is immediately visible, such as moving collections to a new location.

To make them easier for customers and children to find, we interfiled our preschool books with our easy fiction novels, according to Monley.

For the beginning of their “1,000 Books Before Kindergarten” reading challenge, visitors signed up.

In February, Story Time events will also resume.
