Boys basketball: Strong finish helps Fargo North defeat Valley City

The Fargo North Spartans finished strong in their 74-60 win over Valley City on Thursday in Eastern Dakota Conference boys basketball.
Luke Loberg scored a team-high 21 points and hauled in 10 rebounds to lead North. Carter Zeller chipped in 13 points, while Jalen May and Aiden Carlson had 12 and 10 points, respectively. The Spartans outscored Valley City by 11 in the second half.
Peyton Zaun paced the Hi-Liners with a game-high 22 points. Alex Thorton followed with 12 points.
North improved to 4-5 both overall and in the EDC. Valley City drops down to 2-9 overall and 1-8 in the EDC.
