Woman hospitalized in life-threatening condition after being hit by a truck while walking along highway

Lisbon, North Dakota – What supposed to be a normal night walk along a North Dakota highway, turned out to be a nightmare for the woman who is now fighting for her life.
The woman was walking along Highway 32 in Ransom County on Thursday around 9:50 p.m. when she was hit by a Ford F-350.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the 42-year-old driver of Lisbon couldn’t stop or swerve and ended up hitting the woman.
The woman, also of Lisbon, was airlifted to a Fargo hospital for treatment. Hospital officials say the victim is in life-threatening condition.
Her identity, as well as the driver’s, have not been released yet.
The crash remains under investigation.
