US teens urged to get COVID-19 booster shot amid Omicron variant

To defend against the omicron variant, the CDC strongly advises older teenagers to get a COVID booster.
Pfizer’s third shot for 16 and 17-year-olds was approved by the FDA on Thursday. This comes three weeks after all adults were given the thumbs up to receive a booster.
Early research suggests that increasing the dose might be the key to battling omicron, at least until new vaccines to target it become available next spring.
