Two students from Ben Franklin Middle School will compete in the state spelling bee

Cass County, North Dakota – Following their victory in the Cass County Spelling Bee, two kids from Ben Franklin Middle School will be traveling to Bismarck to compete in the state competition.
Chinmay Gopi, a student in the eighth grade, and Luna Gasevic, a student in the seventh grade, have both advanced to the state competition and will be competing against 98 other students in the final spell-off.
Another kid from Ben Franklin Middle School, Mia Heinrich, took third place overall.
The State Spelling Bee winner will be North Dakota’s representative at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in May 2023.
