Three people seriously injured following a hit and run crash

Fargo, North Dakota – After hitting a 22-year-old Bismarck man on 5th Street S crossing University Drive in Fargo early Saturday morning at around 2:22 a.m., the driver of a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee left the scene of the accident.
After evading a traffic stop by Fargo Police, the driver of the Jeep was traveling at a high rate of speed.
Shortly after the vehicle struck several trees and a power line.
The driver fled the scene of the accident before officers arrived, leaving behind his two passengers, who were both transported to the hospital with severe injuries.
The man of Bismarck, who was struck earlier, was also brought to the hospital in an ambulance with serious injuries.
The junction was blocked for hours as an investigation was conducted and Xcel Energy worked to stabilize the power line damage.
The NDHP is still investigating the accident.
