North Dakota no longer faces drought as weather improves

Bismarck, North Dakota – As the state’s weather improves, a small portion of southern North Dakota is no longer facing drought.

The southeastern part of Richland County is not classified in any of the five phases of drought, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor.

Less of 4% of the state is in exceptional drought and around 59% of North Dakota is under severe drought, down from 65% previously.
