Fargo police searching for pit bull's owner that attacked a woman and her dog

Fargo, North Dakota – A pit bull assaulted a woman and her dog, according to Fargo police. It happened at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday outside an apartment building in the 1300 block of 32nd Street South.

According to the owner, the white and gray pit bull attacked her dog unprovocked. The woman tried to free her dog, but the pit bull grabbed it by the neck, and she was bitten on the wrist while attempting to separate the dogs.

The pit bull ran away with a female and couldn’t be found.

Officers think they know the dog’s owner identify.

The incident remains under investigation.
