Elderly man hospitalized with serious injuries after being hit by pickup truck

Fargo, North Dakota – After being hit by a pickup truck while walking in Valley City, a 77-year-old man is now hospitalized and is in serious condition.

The crash occured on Friday night, just before 10 p.m.

Savanna Jo Drake, 19, of Valley City, was driving a 1991 Ford F-150, according to authorities.

Drake was driving east in the 300 block of Main Street at the time of the crash.

Conrad Hoff, 77, was walking in a marked crosswalk when he was hit by the pickup’s front bumper.

Hoff was knocked to the ground and had significant injuries as a result of his fall.

Drake was not hurt in the accident.

Hoff was brought to Mercy Hospital in Valley City by ambulance, but was later transported to Sanford Hospital in Fargo by air.

The crash and possible charges for the 19-year-old remain under investigation.
