Driver rescued, arrested for DUI as vehicle plunges into Mouse River in NW Minot, killing passenger

Minot, North Dakota – After a car crashed into the Mouse River late on Saturday night, just after eleven, Minot Police report that one guy is dead and another is being charged with a felony.

Responders discovered the driver in the river, according to investigators, and after bringing him to land, he informed them that a passenger was still stuck in the car.

Rescue efforts were initiated by Minot Fire right away, and the male passenger was taken to land. The individual was declared dead shortly after, according to investigators, despite the fact that life-saving procedures were carried out both on the site and en route to the hospital.

Police said that the driver of the car, Brendan Rademacher, 22, of Minot, was treated for minor wounds and is being charged with DUI.

The crash is still being looked into.
