Bismarck Police will use Body Cameras

Bismarck, North Dakota – The Bismarck Police Department plans to begin using body cameras in the near future.
The request to outfit officers with the equipment was authorized by the city commission one week ago, and it called for one point two million dollars.
The department will be installing more than 130 Axon body cameras, more than 40 in-car video systems, and about ten cameras specifically designed for use in investigations.
There are already dashcams in use throughout the department.
