Bandshell from Music in the City Park with GREG Hager

Valley City, North Dakota – The City Park Bandshell’s musical events have had a wonderful year!
On Wednesday, August 16, at 7:15 p.m., Valley City singer-songwriter Greg Hager will wrap out the season of Music in the City Park Bandshell. The event will celebrate the release of Greg’s tenth album, “Ain’t God Good”! Be ready for discounted CD prices and perhaps a few surprises! The First Community Credit Union is offering free popcorn and water so come early and enjoy them.
Greg and Andrea traveled to Japan over the summer to spread his music and message for many weeks. Greg writes every song he performs; his “Easy-going, melodic and clever” style is compared to more traditional country and western music before the effects of mainstream culture.
In Nashville, where he finished recording his 10th album, Greg has also been very active this year. The title of Greg’s most recent Country Gospel album is “Ain’t God Good.” On Wednesday night, he will release the full new record.
Greg received the Academy of Western Artists’ Artist of the Year award in 2021. He carries on the legacy of being a goodwill ambassador through song, giving joy, a dash of nostalgia combined with love for family, and a creative, musical perspective on the world.
He writes and sings about the way of life he knows and lives because of his strong origins in the American West. At a young age, he learned important lessons about being truthful, honorable, and dependable no matter what, which serve as the foundation for his artistic approach. These principles are universal and timeless.
