Authorities looking for suspect who eluded officers in high-speed chase

Fargo, North Dakota – The North Dakota Highway Patrol is looking for a person who eluded officers after a high-speed pursuit.
On Friday, March 11th, at around 9:18 a.m., a North Dakota Highway Patrol officer tried to pull over a Pontiac Grand Prix for failing to maintain its lane in the road. The motorist then fled the scene, going eastward on I-94 at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour.
The Pontiac collided with another car while it was exiting at MM338 before re-entering I-94, according to authorities. However, the Highway Patrol tried to employ spike strips at the Sheyenne exit, but their attempt was unsuccessful.
The car then exited southbound on Veterans Blvd, where the NDHP decided to call off the chase for public safety reasons and turned back. The Pontiac was located in the parking lot of a nearby motel.
The suspect was not apprehended, and the incident is still under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol. They urge anybody with information on this chase or suspect to call the North Dakota Highway Patrol at 701-328-2447.
