Anonymous sponsor puts Minot Wreaths Across America event over goal

Minot, North Dakota – A last-minute sponsorship has allowed Minot’s Wreaths Across America program at Rosehill Cemetery to provide wreaths for every gravestone.
This is video from Rosehill’s wreath-making festival a few years ago.
One of the Minot event’s organizers, Richard Reuer, said that they had fallen behind on sponsorships up until the deadline just before Thanksgiving.
According to him, they were about 300 wreaths short, thus some graves will go without a wreath.
Reuer received a surprise when he checked his order’s status online to make sure it was finished.
Then, Reuer found that someone had sponsored 563 wreaths and another person had sponsored 56 wreaths, bringing the total number of wreaths to almost 1300.
Reuer noted that although the Civil Air Patrol looked to be responsible for the sponsorship, no one from the patrol took ownership of it.
The wreaths left over will be delivered to Arlington National Cemetery.
The wreath-laying ceremony at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan was postponed until Sunday; however, the ceremony at Rosehill in Minot is still scheduled for this coming Saturday.
