Annual Spelling Bee to take place in Cass County on Friday

Fargo, North Dakota – On Friday, February 10, the El Zagal Shrine Fargo, located at 1429 Third Street North, will host the annual spelling bee for Cass County.
In the county spelling bee, seven schools from throughout the county will compete. For this competition, Cass County schools are allowed to send up to five kids from grades 3 through 8, and two students from each county are allowed to compete at the state spelling bee.
Prior to the deadlines, students must be from a school that is fully enrolled with both the North Dakota Association of County Superintendents for State and Scripps for National.
The county may send a substitute if a winner or runner-up is unable to attend.
At 1:00 p.m., the last spell-off competition will start. On the Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube accounts of the Cass County Government, a live stream of the spell-off will be broadcast.
