Damage estimate released in Fargo strip mall blaze

FARGO – The damage estimate from last week’s fire that gutted most of a south Fargo strip mall is $1.25-million.

The blaze last Tuesday afternoon in the 3200 block of 20th Street gutted a fitness center, Gi Gi’s Playhouse for people with Down syndrome and a hair salon. Clean-up is underway at Dairy Queen, which is in the north end of the building.

The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
