NORTH DAKOTA SCHOOLS RECEIVE MONEY FOR PANDEMIC COSTS

N.D. – State School Superintendent Kirsten Baesler says North Dakota’s schools have almost $34 million dollars in new funds for pandemic costs.
A North Dakota legislative committee approved the money Wednesday.
Baesler says the money can be used for many school needs – including mental health, technology, building ventilation improvements, and teacher professional development.
Each school district will get at least 30-thousand dollars, plus a payment of about 251 dollars per student.
Today’s action is the third installment of aid to North Dakota’s public schools to help them deal with COVID-19 issues. Since April, the Department of Public Instruction has directed almost 94-(M) million dollars in pandemic aid to schools.
