Bismarck airport given $12 million for infrastructure fixes

BISMARCK, N.D. – Bismarck Municipal Airport has received a $12.4 million grant from the Federal Aviation Administration to make infrastructure improvements.
Airport Director Greg Haug said the grant will be used to continue work on water management improvements and wetland mitigation. The work will be done next year.
The grant is in addition to $20 million in aid to the Bismarck airport through the federal economic rescue CARES Act which will distribute $85 million to dozens of airports in North Dakota. That money is to support continuing operations and replace lost revenue from lower passenger traffic and other business due to COVID-19.
