West Fargo Police Department received toys donation from Amazon to distribute to kids

West Fargo, North Dakota – The West Fargo Police Department received a $3,000 worth of toys donation from Amazon.
Officers will distribute them to children throughout December and the next year.
Officers will try to use the toys to help children cope with trauma while responding to calls.
Officers strive to establish connections with the community and ensure that children’s first encounter with police isn’t a stressful one.
Dolls, action figures, sports equipment, and toy vehicles are among the items donated.
“If you take a look around this is a pretty impressive array of things that are going to be really impactful for our community, so it just exemplifies the impact and importance the community has on the success of our efforts to protect and serve,” said West Fargo Police Chief Denis Otterness.
This initiative is part of the million acts of kindness campaign.
