TikTok-funded lawsuit seeks to have TikTok banned in Montana

Montana – In Montana, a tiny group of TikTok users filed a high-profile case, which TikTok is now paying for.
The lawsuit contests the state of Montana’s upcoming statewide ban on the short-form video app.
Five TikTok creators are part of the group, and TikTok has stated that it will support their legal costs.
TikTok “supports our creators in the fight for their constitutional rights,” according to a corporate spokeswoman.
The TikTok ban in Montana, which carries fines for the business and app retailers that violate it, is the first to be contested in court.
Due to worries about national security, the state’s new law targeting the app is being challenged by the social media behemoth in a separate lawsuit.
