The Fargo Police Department starts the January Police Academy recruitment process

Fargo, North Dakota – The Fargo Police Department is now accepting applications for its upcoming academy.
According to Sgt. Travis Berger, anyone wishing to pursue a career in law enforcement is welcome to enroll in the academy. A 13-week program approved by the North Dakota Peace Officer Standards and Training Board is the Fargo Police Academy.
“We are looking for people that enjoy helping people and solving problems,” Berger said. He adds that there is no requirement to have a security or criminal justice background to join the academy.
“We value that life experience,” Berger said. “We’re made up of a lot of different people here, and we definitely like different walks of life.”
