Sheridan M-551 tank delivered to Dickinson

Dickinson, North Dakota – A U.S. Army tank that was initially deployed in Vietnam made its way to Dickinson on Saturday morning.
The Sheridan M-551 tank, created in 1969 and utilized in later wars, now has a permanent residence in the town close to the veterans’ pavilion.
The 28,000-pound service van was raised onto the ready-made concrete pad by a crane.
One of the objectives of American Legion Post 3 was to bring the antique military hardware to the community.
Members of the post hope that more people in the area will visit the website and learn about veterans and their service.
