Fargo, North Dakota – Keeping people safe is the main objective of a new piece of technology at the Sanford Health Emergency Room in Fargo.
According to Sanford Health, a weapons detection system has been installed at the entrance to the emergency room at the Sanford Medical Center, which is located at 5225 South 23rd Avenue in Fargo.
According to a Sanford Health spokesman, the introduction of the weapons detection system intends to improve current security protocols by adding an extra layer of defense against potential threats.
“Over the past several years, our teams have been focusing on preventing workplace violence and ensuring a safe facility for not only our employees but patients and visitors.”
The system will help identify and prevent the admission of weapons into Sanford facilities, the statement continues, by leveraging cutting-edge technologies and tried-and-true procedures.
