Fargo, North Dakota – Linda McMahon, a former administrator of the Small Business Administration, claims that retail theft is significantly affecting businesses in North Dakota.

“It’s just really endangering our economy when it starts impacting the sales, not only for the retailers but look at how much tax revenue the state loses when goods aren’t sold,” said McMahon.

According to McMahon, stealing cost North Dakotan firms $220 million in 2022.

According to her, the state lost out on $11 million in tax revenue as a result.
