Rep. Armstrong on budget battle: “In D.C. for 12 days straight trying to negotiate a path forward”

Fargo, North Dakota – A radio listener accused Congressman Kelly Armstrong of being “in hiding” as the nation approaches a potential government shutdown. Armstrong represents North Dakota.
“I’ve been in D.C. for 12 days straight trying to negotiate a path forward. I just don’t spend all my time on Twitter and Facebook and I’m not going to do that. This job is much more important, I’d rather be in the room when we are negotiating,” said Armstrong.
As part of their efforts to keep the government running, Armstrong said he and other congressmen are thinking about approving a continuing resolution.
This Saturday is the deadline for government funding.
On Sunday, October 1st, at 12:01 a.m., a shutdown would begin in the absence of a new budget plan.
