Fargo, North Dakota – A car accident involving a single motorist who is still at large is being looked into by Fargo police.

A white car was observed driving east on 9th Ave. S. at around 2:27 p.m. The car did not stop at the intersection of 10 St. S. and collided with an SUV that was heading north.

The white car was thrown by the force of the accident into the basement garages of an apartment building in the 800 block of 10 St. S. Once inside, the car caught fire.

The white car’s driver ran away from the scene on foot and is still at large.

After receiving brief medical attention from paramedics, the driver of the SUV was released from the scene.

A resident of an apartment building and her dog were taken out of the building after the resident inhaled smoke, causing minor injuries.

The driver is currently gone, and the Fargo Police Department is looking for him. According to the authorities, the North Dakota Highway Patrol had reported this person earlier on Saturday for driving recklessly and evading the scene.
