Fire at a house in Richland County

Fairmount, North Dakota – Around 10:30 p.m. yesterday, the Fairmount Fire Department got a complaint of a house fire in the 200 block of 2nd Street South.

The entire house was engulfed in flames when the fire department arrived.

The Hankinson Fire Department was asked to provide mutual aid by Fairmount Fire.

There were no reported injuries. When the fire started, the homeowner was inside. Both humans and animals escaped unharmed.

An inquiry is underway to find the fire’s cause.
