Fargo, North Dakota – As part of the yearly nonpartisan U.S. Conference of Mayors, Fargo Mayor Tim Mahoney was one of over 300 mayors from across the nation who gathered at the White House on Friday.

President Joe Biden greeted them.

“As many of you know, I started my career as a local official back in Delaware and I only ran for the Senate because serving locally was too hard. They know where you live, they think you can solve problems that are beyond your authority,” said Biden, drawing chuckles from the mayors.

Hakeem Jeffries, the House Democratic Leader, and Vice President Kamala Harris both gave addresses during the three-day event.
